The Serpent and The Spider

What is this?

The Serpent and The Spider is a ttrpg for 2 players. One player takes the role of The Serpent, a charismatic sword-wielder. The other player takes the role of The Spider, a highly intelligent necromancer. Your souls are bonded together. You will fight against corrupt corporations and explore your relationship.

Note that this game has references to violence, death, combat, and implied self-harm.

This game is inspired by the book series, The Locked Tomb, by Tamsyn Muir. The 9 short session prompts included in the game are inspired by the 9 houses from the books.

What do I need to play?

In addition to the game rules, you need two 4-sided dice, two 8-sided dice, paper, and something to write with. Session lengths are variable, but can typically take 2-3 hours.

What's included?

The game is a 24-page pdf with lots of great hand-drawn illustrations.

It is formatted to be printed as a 4.25''x5.5'' booklet.

The game has dark red text and red illustrations on white background. Yellow background in photos is from printing on yellow paper.

How to Print?

The game can be printed on 4 sheets of paper (both sides for each sheet), folded, cut, and stapled into a 24-page quarter-page zine. In the download, the first two pages of the pdf are the exterior pages of the zine and continues towards the interior until the last two pages of the pdf are the interior pages of the zine. 

I intended for this game to be printed on yellow paper. In the photos I included for the game, I used Astrobrights Solar Yellow paper.
